Simon O’Neill
Simon has rapidly established himself as one of today’s most sought-after tenors on the international stage, and with his wonderful voice, stage charm and presence he is fast developing a reciprocal love affair with Nelson.
Whirimako Black
Whirimako composes music that is relevant for today, as well as reviving and modernising traditional waiata (songs) aiming to bring a heightened awareness of Maori to worldwide audiences.
Anna Leese
Young, gifted and beautiful, she is described as singing with flair and brilliance, with a voice that ranges from gentle fragility to steely power. She combines this with an acting ability that is rare in one so young.
Hollie Smith
Look up “soul” in the dictionary, and dusky-voiced chanteuse Hollie Smith embodies every aspect of the term. The young New Zealand songstress clearly possesses “deeply felt emotion, as expressed by a performer or artist,” is indeed “the moving spirit of some action,” and definitely boasts “spirit or courage.”
